The journey of Taneja Hybrid Seeds Pvt. Ltd. began in 1975, when our parent company, Ambika Seeds Company, was established by Mr. Som Nath Taneja. A true pioneer in Indian agriculture, Mr. Taneja didn’t just start a business — he built a legacy. Through relentless hard work, he captured the Indian market under the Ambika Seeds brand, making it a household name among farmers across the country.

His unmatched contribution to onion seed development earned him the title of “Onion King of India”, as he became the largest exporter and seller of onion seeds in the country. Known for his integrity, vision, and passion, Mr. Taneja gained immense respect from farmers not only across India but also in international markets.

In 1998, his son Mr. Ashish Taneja joined the business, bringing fresh energy and expansion. He founded Taneja Seeds Corporation, which quickly earned recognition for its commitment to quality hybrid seeds. In 2008, the father-son duo took a significant leap by launching Taneja Hybrid Seeds Pvt. Ltd., with a vision to lead in research-based hybrid seed development.
